Altra Font Download
Altra is a family based on a tracing of an old clip art font. I liked the gentle calligraphic look. Consider it a sans serif with style.
REM Orange Font Download
Michael Stipe and Chris Bilheimer have been creating all of the art and design for R.E.M. together for 15 years. Their work together has garnered 3 Grammy nominations for Best Package Design and sold more than 15 million copies world-wide.
Both attended the fine arts program at the University of Georgia. Michael Stipe, singer and lyricist, formed R.E.M. in 1980. Bilheimer began working with the band in 1994. While continuing to sing with R.E.M., Stipe is also an avid photographer and film producer.
Bilheimer continues to work in the music industry, art directing bands such as Green Day and Weezer.

Over the years, I have been able to help with some great work for R.E.M. and Green Day. I eventually approached Chris, asking him to release these to the public…in each case, the fonts would need considerable engineering, creation of missing glyphs and diacritics to make the offering more desirable globally—I was more than willing to do this in order to make these available.
Three fonts were chosen for the collection. Each are texturally unique and wonderful representations of the kinetic and interpretative qualities type, design and music can produce.

Bulldog Slab Font Download
Figgins and Caslon may be names familiar to many as Type Founders. Indeed they are, but they are perhaps less well known for the emergence of Sans Serif type styles which have become part of our lives since 1889.
The first hundred years of this style is celebrated with this design by Adrian Williams, completed in 1989.
It echoes many features of the Gothic, Grotesque and Sans Serif models of the period, based particularly on the 1870 Figgins.
